Love All Day is proud to present the debut LP offering from Secular Music Group. This project emerged from the home workshop of Christian Ruggiero, a renowned composer for film and television with a passion for classic recordings and legacy studio technology. He teamed up with long-time collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Yannis Panos to make a record in the old way; as a group of musicians in a room playing live to magnetic tape. This record would channel their shared interests in free-jazz, library music and American minimalism. The group was made whole by the essential additions of guitarist Ted Morcaldi, reedist Greg LaPine and percussionist Tim Walsh.

The NYC Ska Orchestra, a 20 piece big band playing a blend of Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae, brings its unique flavor to the Summer for the City music series at LINCOLN CENTER’S Plaza Dance Floor. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Village Presents, Brooklyn Reggae, and Raised Fist present the Brooklyn Reggae Cruise! Join us on June 20th, 2024 as we set sail aboard the Liberty Belle for an unforgettable evening of music, specially curated Brooklyn Reggae cruise. Featuring SunDub with special guest Carlton Livingston, The Pilfers, and SPI Music and friends, this three-hour voyage through New York Harbor will take us sailing beneath the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges and up close to the Statue of Liberty. As the summer sun sets over the iconic New York City skyline, we’ll be rocking the night away to the sounds of some of New York’s best original reggae bands.

SunDub is a testament to the power of inclusion, diversity and unity— their music and community rallies around the concept that we are strongest when people of different backgrounds can work together to create positive change. These core values are showcased on SunDub’s first release, “Burden of Love,” which has since amassed millions of streams and whet the appetites of listeners around the world for their next release. In a world that is dominated by watered-down distillation of reggae, SunDub aims to honor the roots of Jamaican music while offering their unique ability to combine soul and funk sophistication into their art. 

Liquid Love plays the music of master trumpeter and composer of the Jazz and Fusion eras, Freddie Hubbard. This band features some of Connecticuts premier talents: Dan D’Onofrio on trumpet, Greg LaPine on tenor and soprano saxophones, Mike Godette on guitar, Darren LItze on keyboards, David Livolsi on bass, Tyger MacNeal on drums, and Tony Cintron on percussion. The Greg LaPine Chordless Quartet will play a program of original music in a fully acoustic setting at beloved Ridgewood Queens jazz venue, Dada. Two sets, 8-9 and 930-1030. No cover, but there is a suggested donation of $20 per person for the band. Dada is known for booking a wide variety of jazz acts, creative music and poetry readings, and serving great cocktails and food. Join us!
